Full Access

Read Only
Invited users can view transactions, account balances, and run reports, but cannot add, edit, delete, or modify any data. Enforced server-side, not just hidden in the UI. Ideal for advisors, kids learning about finances, or business partners who just need visibility.
Invite by email
Owners send invitations directly from Settings > Manage Access. Invitees who already use CountAbout simply accept and switch between accounts. New users are set up as guests with a password, no separate subscription needed.

If an invitee already has their own CountAbout account, they can switch between personal and shared accounts with a single click. Account switching is verified via secure email magic links that expire after ten minutes.

Is Multi-User Access included in my plan?
Yes. Multi-User Access is included in every CountAbout plan at no extra cost, including Basic, Premium, and Military. There are no per-seat fees and no limit on the number of users you can invite.
How many people can I invite?
There is no limit. Invite as many people as you need and assign each one either Full Access or Read Only.
Does an invited user need their own subscription?
No. Invited users who don’t already have a CountAbout subscription are set up as guest users, using a password plus a one-time email verification code for each login. No additional subscription is required.
What’s the difference between Full Access and Read Only?
Full Access users can view and modify transactions, run reports, manage accounts, and link bank connections, essentially acting as if the account were their own. Read Only users can view transactions, balances, and reports, but cannot add, edit, delete, or modify any data. Read Only is enforced server-side for true protection.
Can I revoke access if I change my mind?
Yes, instantly. From the Manage Access page you can revoke any user’s access at any time. The change takes effect immediately.
Can I see what guest users have done?
Yes. CountAbout maintains a login history for invited users, showing who accessed the account and when.
Will invited users see my email address?
No. Each invited user is identified by a display name you set. Your email address is never exposed to guests.
What if I already have my own CountAbout account?
If you’re invited to another account and already have your own, you can switch between accounts with a single click using the Switch Account button. Switching is secured via a time-limited magic link sent to your email.
